Campus is an online, accredited community college inspired by those seeking to increase completion rates for community college students. In efforts to address how systemic barriers and unique personal responsibilities may hinder many students completing their degree, Campus' vision is a space where students' multitude of needs are met so that they may find their own success within any higher education program they take on.

Campuswire is the complete home base for teaching and learning in college classes. Used by over 500k students and professors across the nation, Campuswire combines a modern Q&A forum, chatrooms, and direct messages to simplify communication; live video and in-class polling to make online teaching an engaging experience for students; and the capabilities of a LMS and SIS to manage student records.

Live rooms are the main tool students and faculty to attend and host class, respectively. Students and faculty receive notifications for classes and can join directly from their calendar events. Additional functionality in live rooms is taking attendance, recording lectures, sharing PDF lecture slides, and creating breakout rooms.

Instructors and TAs can edit and track students grades for assignments, quizzes, attendance, and participation. This virtual gradebook allows instructors to create a custom grade distribution based on their class syllabus and publish assignments for student submissions. Attendance taken during live classes over video is also recorded automatically in the gradebook.

The class feed allows students and faculty alike to post announcements, questions, and polls to the group at large. Students and faculty can answer questions, and students can earn points by correctly answering questions. To reach out to someone directly, direct messages and DM video and voice calling are available to all users.

The admin portal allows administrators to view key metrics for students and classes, in order to create a holistic view of engagement and performance of both students and professors in classes.


Campuswire is geared toward three main user groups – students, faculty, and administrators. The above features are only an overview into the features that we've built in Campuswire to serve our user base as a whole.

With communication tools like DM messaging and calling, live video rooms with breakout rooms, question posting with answers in the class feed, and a comprehensive admin portal with student tracking and health metrics, Campuswire as a product is meant to be a all-in-one tool covering the complete educational experience for all of the above user groups.
